About

The NET2LEARN research group focuses its research on the design of adaptive virtual learning environments for higher education that respond to the users’ needs both from personal (criteria for usability, accessibility and mobility issues, preferences and particular requirements) and teaching perspectives (special requirements for scientific and technical contents, multimedia learning resources, personalization of the learning process, tools to support networked learning in virtual learning environments.

The main research areas covered are:

  • Personalization of the learning process:
    • Architectures, standards and specifications for e-learning.
    • Formalization of the learning process and scenarios by means of ontologies.
    • Semantic repositories.
  • User analysis, usability, accessibility and mobility in e-learning.
  • Open education:
    • Open educational resources.
